&lt;p&gt;This photograph offers a drone’s-eye view of a rather robust bird with a dark hindneck and an upper back that is spangled with light spots, and a feather pattern that broadens from head to tail. The mystery bird also has uniformly colored sides and a hint of dark feathering with white borders toward the flanks.&lt;/p&gt;
