Bird Observer is a New England-based bimonthly journal for birders. We are a nonprofit organization supported by subscribers, and staffed by volunteers. We publish original articles on birding locations, on avian populations and natural history, on regional rarities, book reviews and field notes, bird sightings for Massachusetts, photographs, and artwork. For information on previous issues, check our index or search the Tables of Contents.
We now offer all viewers online access to the complete archive of all back issues of Bird Observer starting with February 1973 (Volume 1 Number 1) up to the three most recent years of publication. You must be a subscriber to read the full edition of the current issue and those that have been published within the past three years.
Not a subscriber yet? You can still browse the site and view enough content to see what a great resource you have in Bird Observer. We hope you'll agree with us and subscribe today.
