Although the mystery bird in this issue is arguably identifiable solely from the black-and-white photograph in the journal, this month’s puzzler is infinitely easier to identify by looking at the color version on the Bird Observer website. I offer this reminder in every issue because some of the mystery birds are significantly more difficult to identify when they are not in color. Accordingly, I encourage readers always to look at the color photograph on www.birdobserver.org when struggling with a black-and-white print version.
